“This is a beautiful and large home with so much space, very comfortable beds and linens, a kitchen with everything you need to feel right at home or host dinner, a fantastic and fully stocked coffee station, a gorgeous and cozy wood burning fire place, a giant covered wrap-around porch, totally dog friendly and all with the sweetest, most thoughtful and communicative hostess, Tamra. We were there over Christmas and they even put up a beautiful little Christmas tree for us. So special. We loved our stay here and would love to stay again.”

“It was our first time in PA. We were here for our daughter’s wedding hosted in downtown Honsdale at 6th and River. Tamara’s home was only 1 mile from downtown. But I tell you the location of her home was spectacular. The wildlife and waking up to the birds singing was soothing. We took advantage every evening to have a drink as a family on the front porch. All the amenities are provided, including coffee in her nice coffee station. We even played games at night in her nice dinning room. Thank you Tamra for your hospitality”

“family of 5 adults and an infant gathered in Tamra’s lovely house to celebrate Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well-appointed with all necessarey cooking equipment and we set the table in hte spacious dining room with the formal dinnerware provided. We enjoyed beautiful views from the many windows while appreciating the private setting. We saw deer grazing in the yard and a bobcat streak past the property. It was cold and snowy during our stay but the house was warm and comfortable. the internet was fast. the bedding clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again if in the area.”

“This house is great! Three big bedrooms – lots of space in each. and one smaller bedroom with its own bathroom. This house is unique in that it has a nice wide front porch, a big screened porch with table to eat at. and a big deck with table, and umbrella if you want to eat outside. The sun room we used as our caffeine room. The whole house and property is very private. You hear the whack of a golf ball but they are about 60 yards away. The town of Honesdale is cute. All in all, we loved the place and would rent again. ”

“This house was the perfect place to celebrate our parents 60th birthdays! The veranda and its ample seating were the perfect setting for relaxed family time. The 4 bedrooms felt very private and Tamra was thoughtful enough to supply luxurious robes does the rooms that shared the hall bath. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans, drip coffee maker, and lots of glassware and pitchers for sipping on the veranda. Honesdale was wonderful, we took a jaunt around Tanner Falls, ate at Gravity ice cream, and got great bagels at Camp Umpys. Tamra was responsive and helpful throughout our planning and stay. 10/10 would recommend!”

The house was perfect for a group of 6-8 family members to spend time relaxing on the huge porch, grilling out, and making s’mores over a camp fire. “As my first Airbnb experience, the bar has been set very high for any other places I plan to stay in the future. From the moment I booked this trip until the day that I packed my bags to go back home, it has been a wonderful experience and exceeded my expectations. The pictures did not do this house justice at all. The communication with the host was fantastic and provided all the information I needed, and some things that I didn’t even think to ask. As soon as I arrived, I was amazed at how beautiful the area was as well as the house. The attention to detail and charm that this house had was definitely a huge part of the reason I had such a great experience. The kitchen had everything you needed and finding things was definitely not a problem. Cabinets were labeled with easy findings and I especially loved the coffee bar. The living room had a beautiful fireplace which was utilized and plenty of games to enjoy, as well as TV to binge our favorite new show. More than enough bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs so I didn’t have to worry about sharing one. Some of my favorite things about this house were the wrap around porch, the sun room, the screened in porch to enjoy our meals in the nice weather and the very large yard with fire pits. During this trip we didn’t get to use the fire pits but we plan on it next time. We brought our dog with us which was the 1st reason we chose this house because it was dog friendly. It is very hard for a pet owner to find a nice place to stay that accommodates pets as well. Tamra has a gate on the front and back porches to keep the dogs from running off so we were able to enjoy relaxing outside on the wrap around porch and not worry. Shopping for food was not far and very easy to find. Good tip Tamra gave, Weis market has a wine/beer store inside so you can get anything while shopping for your groceries in one trip! Lastly the best part is it was very quiet and peaceful. That was the main reason we wanted to stay at this house was to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed and I hope that this review will help anyone considering booking this house feel confident about their decision. My only regret is not staying longer :)”

“The Perfect Wedding Day Celebration: My husband, our pup and I spent our wedding weekend here and it was perfect! “We visited to get away and take advantage of our family’s current pandemic-induced, all-virtual lifestyle and enjoy some quiet time outdoors (and out of our home). The home is lovely, large, and very clean. It would be perfect for a large family or multi-families looking to get away. The ability to bring our dog was a great bonus and she enjoyed her stay as well. The owners are great hosts–responsive and clearly want to make sure that you enjoy your visit! The Kitchen is huge and well appointed for cooking. The first floor is very spacious with many areas inside and out for individuals to hang out (or, work or learn virtually and have your own quiet space!). The wi-fi was reliable and fast enough for two adults to work and one child to do school (honestly, it was better than our wi-fi at home). The surrounding area is quiet but you are very close to town for all your needs. We didn’t spend too much time outside on the property, but there’s a small hill for sledding (and several sleds) which we got to enjoy once and also a fire pit and space to run and play. The home has lovely decks and screened-in porches that would be great in the warmer weather. We did not explore the area much beyond skiing (Elk is about 40 minutes away) and hiking, but there seems to be lots to do and much we would enjoy returning to do post-pandemic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time away in this sweet home, no doubt you will too!“

“We had a great time at Tamra’s place! Description and reviews are accurate. Our young boys loved exploring the house and property, and LOVED the huge backyard and firepit! Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The town of Honesdale is really cute! Definately check out Here and Now, and Native if you’re looking for a nice dinner. Tanners Falls is beautiful and worth the trip, as is Lakeland Orchard and Cidery!”

“We had a wonderful stay here. Great for our son and dog to run around, stretch their legs, and get some fresh air. The property is spacious and private, and grass was freshly cut before our arrival. We saw wild deer and a flock of turkeys passing through the yard and even bought fresh eggs from another house up the road.
The house itself is great. We especially enjoyed the 2 decks and screened in porch. One of the decks has a large gas grill, other has deck chairs and a dining table with a nice view of the landscape. We also made use of the firepit in the backyard to introduce our son to smores (although we ended up eating most of them ourselves).
We also found everthing to be very clean and well stocked. Fresh bed sheets and pillow cases were neatly stored in sealed containers, and an abundant set of fresh towels were waiting in the linen closet. We like to cook and found the kitchen to be well equipped. We also enjoyed the Keurig coffee machine and the the smore-making equipment.
Part of the reason we booked this house was the advertised high-speed internet, which I needed for remote work during this covid pandemic. I can confirm that the internet was extremely fast (300+ mbps using an ethernet cable) and more than enough to get a good amount of work done.
Overall a great stay, and many thanks for hosting us.”

“Spacious, rambling and just a little rough around the edges (In a good way). Loads of separate spaces means its great for a remote work stay-cation. Our group did a little of this, and a little straight-up summer lounging. Tamra has a great deck for that, including a little coal or wood fire brazier. We also spent plenty of time in the massive back yard, by the fire pit at night especially. Tamra was a great host, and very responsive.”

“Great Location and Host!! Tamra was an excellent communicator and made us feel so welcome in her rustic mountain home. All basic necessities were provided as well as many extras! The bedroom views of the golf course and mountains were beautiful, and we even got to see some deer grazing behind the house! We had a wonderful time in NE Pennsylvania visiting our extended family for Christmas. We also spent a day Skiing at Elk Mountain which was not too far. Since we live in Florida it was fun to spend some time in the snow. Cant wait to visit again!”

“The house was indeed spacious. And one bedroom has a private bath which is nice. While the house is older, the kitchen is new. Has ample counter space which was great for my family’s Thanksgiving celebration. Tamra is an amazing communicator and very eager to make sure everything was good during our stay. And since she knew we were having the big holiday dinner, they bought extra things that were there when we arrived like a roasting pan, additional serving bowls etc. It snowed during my visit and Tamra had it cleared and salted pretty quickly. My family and I will stay again!”
